Ever been to all those anti-abortion prayer meetings? Ever thought during all those prayers that God really wasn't going to do anything to end it? Is praying that God would outlaw abortion a ridiculous prayer? Is that expecting God to do too much in a very fallen world? Perhaps, but perhaps not. See the following article from NY Times - perhaps God was in fact hearing and acting upon all those prayers we've voiced to him over the years about abortion. No, it's not eliminated from our society by any means - but such a narrow victory as the following article indicates seems to me to demonstrate that our prayers must be having some effect. Praise God for victories, whatever form or degree they may come in!

thanks for putting this up cynthe! abortion is a pretty horrible thing, and that particular style of abortion (partial birth/ d&x) is about as bad as it can legally get. ugh. glad the courts knocked it down. (c: keep praying!
