The world is sagging more than normal
Oppressed, laden by sin and sadness
Why so downcast, oh my soul?
Just put your hope in God!
The clouds inching, drifting onward
Shielding sun from shedding light.
Our hope, this burden-bearing God, He's ours!
He who does not weary or faint.
When drooping shoulders lay so low
Fraught and hampered—perplexing grief
Uplift your soul to Him—All Powerful
And cast all weight before His throne.
He does not grow weary or faint.
His strength is perfect in all our strife.
These worldly impeding sorrows
They have no grip upon your soul.
He cares, as for a sparrow falling.
He cares, a Father to His own.
The luminescence infringe the day
And in the shadows gleaming bright.
There is no darkness, no more night.
He comes by cloud, surmounting vice.
The Conquering King, with hope and justice,
To wrought a world in truth, upright.
